Sailing at Half Mast back to Home Port

It's been almost 3 months since I came to Santa Fe New Mexico.

In some ways, it has been everything I expected....

Cold Temps, Dry Air, Beautiful Terrain, Nice People, Good Infrastructure.....

But it hasn't been all Peaches and Cream.

I came up here with some injuries and while some injuries have healed, others have cropped up.

The worst of these is a nagging and increasingly concerning left Achilles Tendon problem.

I am still working part time remotely for a Company on the Texas Gulf Coast.

And there is still unfinished business in Lake Jackson.

When I came up here, I left the rest of my life behind -

My belongings, my car, my daughter, my sister and her family and all the experiences, comfort, security and conveniences of living in an area for 30 years.

At this point, I am leaving the options open as to where I live in the future....

But I am planning on returning to Lake Jackson in a few weeks and will spend some time evaluating the pro's and con's of staying there for a while.... at least 6 months.

I am still looking at Santa Fe NM but am also considering Austin Tx.....

As in other times in the past, I am waiting on some clear indication or driver to help me decide what to do and where to go next.

But for now....

The Discovery Ship is sailing southeast about 1000 miles.
