Shaped by the Elements

There's this Tree by my campsite. 

It's in a tough place in the rocks on the shoreline and in the wind.... 

Where it's been it's whole life. 

Other trees further up the bank have grown bigger and thicker because they were rooted in better soil and were more out of the wind. 

But not this ole tree. 

Oh - it didn't pick it's spot. That was determined for the tree. 

But it hung in there and it grew the best it could. 

While not the biggest or prettiest tree in sight, I'd be willing to bet it is the toughest, densest tree around. 

Life and Nature - not so different...

We can't always pick our spots or pick our paths but we can damned sure hang tough and do the best we can with the little piece of Life that was given us.
