Well I'm making this last post of the day from my cell phone from the warmth of my new Coleman sleeping bag on top of the comfort of my new Coleman sleeping mat. Wow - another wonderful day beginning with the casual cruise down 84 to a turnoff on RR203 - a road that seemingly led to nowhere but that led me to the azure blue crystal clear waters of Sumner Lake like an oasis appearing from a barren wasteland. I met & talked to many nice people today- Bill Freeman who filled me in on his exciting & interesting career. I met 3 guys named Oscar, James & I think the 3rd guy was Ben - all from Irving Tx. Spent some time chatting w/ Ranger Raymond who explained the park features to me & later discussed the path his career has taken to his currwnt position os Asst Super of the park and Marine Enforcement Officer and finally of his passion for bowhunting elk. I met Connie Vincent & her herd of
mule deer & finally Mary @ the Hideaway store. It was a day full of life... cont'd on next post...
