Toyota Avalon - Poor Man's Lexus

I asked my wife to rent a Toyota Avalon for this trip... it's what we've driven over the last few trips... if you shop around on the Internet you can get it for a couple of bucks more per day than a standard mid-size... I love Toyotas... my wife loves Toyotas & has had one since she started driving... I'm convinced the Toyota Avalon has the most bang for the buck in the upper end cars... it is deceptively roomy inside...has a 280 hp V-6 & a manual mode to the 6-spd auto transmission that will make you thinking you're driving a sports car instead of a 5-passenger luxury sedan... and it's got the Toyota quality & reliability... no offense but you can keep your Beemer & your Mercedes... I'll take the Toyota Avalon anyday and you know what? I can drive a 2010 Avalon XL (just like this one - cloth seats no navigation but come on it's still fully loaded) off the lot for < $28000! I'm
planning on selling my wife's 2003 Toyota Corolla when we get back & getting an Avalon...she deserves it!
