Seize the day....

...yeah Seize the Day and Beat the Wind! Ha Ha - that's a joke. I've come to the conclusion that rhe only way you beat this NM wind is to beat it gettin' up! I'm packed & down @ the S8 lobby fueling up. I'm supplementing their Contl Bfast w/ Thai Kitchen Hot & Sour Soup w/ Peppered Beef Jerky added & a banana... Man if I don't burn up the roads today.... or maybe my bike seat! No seriously - I'm doing that prep thing again - drinking my coffee and thinking - focusing - visualizing the 60 mile ride ahead... preparing my mind for a long day of challenges.... and rewards - I've opted for a NW diagonal route that runs down I40 for a few miles then takes 379 north and then splits off on some road to the NW that takes me through Anton Chico while roughly tracking the Pecos River on my right. I figure - Hell - I can't get too lost if I'm following the Pecos River... it was good enough for
people traveling & settling this area for the last 500 years... oughta be good enough for me!
