I've arrived @ the Glorieta Conference Center

I'm staying in the Hall of States Building. Near as I can figure, this is a huge complex w/ many buildings and is a religious meeting center - part of the Lifeway Conference Centers. There is a lake (frozen over), dining hall, residences... This is the off season but they are still booking rooms. I met Volunteer Chaplain Leo Waldrop who guided me in in his car to the exact building where I was supposed to go... I mean I must've followed him for half a mile around this place on icy, snowy streets. Hit the ground one time...I hit some ice & the bike just went out from under me but no damage done...what a cool place...it looked beautiful coming in... can't wait to see it tomorrow. I thought when I lightened up by mailing my backpack & camping gear that I could make better head way against this NM wind but to no avail...I can only do 5 mph against a 25 mph headwind but I was proud of
the Dogs today & they never quit pulling...Tomorrow is another day...and tomorrow I ride to Santa Fe!
