Pork Loin - Praxis - a Bear of a WOD and Homeboy's Favorite Meal

Nice meal last night of Cast Iron Skillet Grilled Pork Loin, Spring Mix, Tomato, Radish and Carrots with a side of Guac and Kalamata Olives and Artichoke Hearts.

BJ and the new trainer, Andrew, discuss the Workout that pummeled the 8:15 class.

Quite a combo of a good warm-up, Deadlifts and then 4 rounds of:
  • 1 min Dead Hang (which is what you feel like - Dead Meat - after hanging motionless for a minute)
  • A Bear Complex of 5 rounds of 1 rep each of a Power Clean, Front Squat, Push Press, Back Squat, Back Push Press.... Yeah so each Round had 25 Bear Complex reps in it.
  • It was supposed to be a 15 min cap but Andrew extended the Pain Zone by a minute to try to get us to finish 4 rounds.

I didn't quite make it getting through the 3rd set of the Bear in the 4th round but it was a great workout.

And I rewarded myself with my own Bear Complex of Creamy Southern Grits, 4 slices of Turkey Bacon, 2 eggs over easy, a few slices of Brie Cheese, some fresh orange bell pepper and some Kalamata Olives.

Quite a Post Workout  Meal.
