Another Sunday hike in the Golden Aspens Part 2

We took a short break at this rock outcropping which overlooked a beautiful valley.

And then made a short run into the aspens....

With a loop back to the vista.

One of the incredible things about getting out in this environment with a group of individuals that each love the great outdoors is that you are able to witness and experience how each person relates to it.

For me, personally, it puts me in a more basic state where you feel more alive, more in tune with your body and the spirit of the animal that lives in all of us.

Kay led us to a beautiful sun drenched meadow where conversation, food and fresh air was the the soup du jour.

It's been a long journey for me to get to Santa Fe... and I don't just mean the place Santa Fe.... but also the place and peace of mind that Santa Fe represents.

It is a new and different way of life.

For what it's worth, I think this group has the right idea.

And I'm digging the hat!

And the meditation!

The After the Hike Party convened on the patio of the Santa Fe Ski Basin with the Bus Tapes adding some live music.

A round of beers and music put a perfect end on this day's hike.

And the drive down the mountain was like a walk.....

Down the Yellow Brick Road!
