These look to be the original buildings from the 1800s with the same store fronts with the old cast iron door thresholds and pillars made by Mosher Mfg Co of Dallas Tx and Mesker Bros. of St. Louis Mo.

I could've spent 3 more days in Hico eating and sightseeing and going in and out of the shops and buildings that were a part of Texas history!
My wife and I are going back to Hico and do just that..... only it'll be in a car!

If you want to see a truly historic Texas town that hasn't lost it's roots, do yourself a favor and take a little detour off I45 and visit Hico.... I think you'll like it!
