I once remember when she looked at me with adoring eyes,
But with the passing of days in our lives, the time flies.
And with it the something that we had,
That once was so good turns so bad.
And I find myself through my own devices,
Living a life alone and paying the prices.
Wanting her back but knowing that in the end,
It will all just come back to haunt me again.
In these walls I surrender to decay and age,
Fighting the turning of each day's page.
Imprisoned by a life where I know,
That which I reap I must sow.
