Saw '300: Rise of an Empire' last night

In addition to the cool look and feel of the first 300, there was more Women and Lots of Blood, Sex and Violence....

So what's not to like?

Actually interested me enough to have me looking up Thermistocles (the male protagonist) and the Greco-Persian wars to learn about the history and to see how much artistic license was taken with the movie.

My favorite line of the whole movie was....

Hang on .... Let me give you some background...

Artemesia, the female antagonist, was trained as a warrior from youth by Persian combat experts, and is reputed to be the greatest swordsman or swordswoman on earth.

There was an aggressive love scene earlier in the movie when Artemesia was trying to seduce Thermistocles into abandoning command of the Greek forces and joining her in leading the Persian forces.

Thermistocles enjoyed the path of seduction through several positions and then tells Artemesia "No".....

Which no woman on earth likes to hear especially when she's laying everything on the line or laying on her back..... or whatever.....

Hats off to T.... Saying "No" at that point is kinda like having your cake...

And not having to count the calories...

So anyway, in the final scene of the movie, Artemisia and Thermistocles are engaged in a vicious sword fight to the death on a burning Persian ship and Artemesia screams to Thermistocles....

"You fight better than you fuck!"

Which begs more responses from me than can be counted.

I gotta keep this post at least R-rated so I'll have to hold back a little...

But here goes some randomness....

1. I love the name Artemisia.
2. The concept of having sex with a woman and then fighting her to the death is pretty intriguing.
3. Having a woman tell you that you fight better than you fuck is not all bad....

Guess it depends on how good you fuck....
