Last Day in Cali - Attack of Mt Baldy

Saturday was my last day in Long Beach... Had a flight out at 4:45 pm. 

So what did my son and I do?

Drove 60 miles inland to the base of Mt San Antonio (Mt Baldy) and did the 11.5 mile loop from the Manker Flats trailhead at 5000' elevation to Mt Baldy summit at 10064' elevation and back down the Devil's Backbone. 

The next posts are a photo record of that beautiful day spent in the mountains east of LA.

The drive up the mountain to the trailhead in the early morning light was an adventure in and of itself.
