This changes everything... Ok - not everything... But my plans anyway!

That beach you see in the distance is Long Beach.... 

Supposedly the longest continuous beach in the world.... 28 miles.

Here's what I'm gonna do today. 

1. I'm staying at CDSP another night. 
2. I'm gonna leave the lighthouse and head to Bell's View. 
3. Then I'm going down the North Head Trail back to the road. This was the route I was supposed to take to get to NHL but bw'd up the ridge instead. 
4.  I'm gonna walk back to campsite 98, unload my bike and go pay for my campsite, wash some clothes and then head up the Discovery Trail on my bike to Long Beach and have some lunch. 
5.  Then I'll reverse and ride to the parking lot and hike to the Cape Disappointment Lighthouse. 

That oughta make a day...

I'll keep you posted as wireless access permits but will likely have to batch it again at the CD lighthouse.
