Process Check at the Beginning of Day 3

It's always important to do a self-eval to make sure you're doing the right things... so here goes... WHAT'S GONE WRONG: 1) Trip Planning - I didn't plan for the crazy bike route that's required to get out of Denver and to my first 2 days destinations - Score: D- ... 2) Carrying too much stuff... I do this every time... it cost me a lot of energy on Day 1... one of these days I'll do a tour where I start w/ just me and the bike - Score C- ... 3) Colorado is NOT cyclist friendly... not in my control ... I've already said enough on this subject ... had I known I would've changed some stuff - Score: C- .... Now let's talk about WHAT'S GONE RIGHT ... 1) My Equipment ... I may have built the Ultimate Touring Machine... for me... the Trek 1500 w/ 11-34 Gears, OMM Racks and Ortlieb Panniers are awesome... Score: A+ ... 2) I've taken my time... when faced w/ unclear or unanticipated obstacles,
I've reasoned my way through them and made good decisions - Score: A ...cont'd on next post.
