I'm here.
First I stopped at a store / deli about 4 miles from the park and ate a cup of beef barley soup, bowl of chicken Bowtie pasta and half a prosciutto panini and bought water and a beer. It cost me 30 minutes but bought me a full belly, renewed energy and saved the time of cooking at the camp site.
I then raced the final 4 miles to the park. And grabbed the best of the 3 biker / hiker sites. I unloaded the panniers and rack bag and locked them to the bench. Not bad for 12 bucks.
And pretty good day for an old Redneck from Texas...
81 miles on a Mountain Bike loaded with 75# of gear.
10 mpg avg with a crazy 44.3 mph max on 1 downhill.
In the saddle about 10 hours today and had some highs and lows but stuck with it and ended up with a Personal Best in many categories.
Incredible 2nd Day!
I'll try to get some pics and commentary on the day but just wanted to say...
Welcome to Sequim Bay!
Beautiful scenery. Sounds like you definitely fuel yourself up with some good food. D
ReplyDeleteFuel = Miles. Cycling is the most efficient means of transportation know to man. Will do a post on that sometime
