Get rid of it... Anything and Everything that's holding you back!

I'm carrying too much stuff...

It's killing me and tearing up my bike....

So here's what I'm sending back....

1 SS Columbia shirt
1 LS Columbia shirt
1 pr Wrangler Cargo pants
1 pr Wrangler Denim cutoffs
1 leather belt
1 SS T-shirt
1 SS casual shirt
2 prs anklet socks
1 pr Smartwool socks
2 rags
1 tube
Small bag of spare nuts and bolts
1 extra bike tool set
1 box fire starter sticks
1 set of tongs
1 small btl of Tabasco

I kept 4 oz of olive oil, 1 oz if DW soap and half the sugar and Cream mate and threw the rest away.

Finally I'm returning the tent and keeping the tent footprint, frame and rain fly.

We'll see how I did when I get to the shipping shop next to the Bike Garage.

Not really that much in the grand scheme of things but hopefully it will make a difference.

I'm gonna guess 11# being shipped back not counting 2 - 3# of stuff I threw away.

So hopefully I'll be at about the 60# mark on what I'm hauling which is where I should have been in the first place.

As Jessie Stone would say ...

"I sense a parable."

So here it is....

Life, (and Relationships which can be a significant part of life), like the first 3 days of this bicycle tour, is all about making adjustments and changes and fixing things that get broke because you drug along too much extra baggage and getting rid of stuff that is hurting you or the ones you care about.

When you're in it for the Long Haul, whether that's 2000 miles down the Pacific Coast, or 50 years of marriage, you have to be willing to listen and react and get rid of stuff and reduce weight and become more responsive....

If not....

You end up broke down....

and alone....

on the side of the road.
