Up and Down through the Fog on the Coast south of Stinson Beach

  1. Wow look how the road climbs and winds around the hills. I can see why you are so taxed. I hope you are being able to really enjoy this once in a lifetime experience you are being able to have at this time of your life.

  2. Don't get me wrong. These climbs are taking everything I have. I have incredibly strong thighs and I am having to grit my teeth and put everything I have into every climb.

I told you.... I am in my lowest gear doing 4.0 mph just barely turning the pedals over

The physical demands of this tour are way beyond my most pessimistic expectations.

I have simply become a Robot on a Bike.

These climbs are 40 - 70 in number a day depending on the terrain.

I've gotten to where I don't even react to them. I just put my head down and stomp on the pedals.

It is the hardest thing I have ever done.

    And the most rewarding.
