Imagine Mendocino Bay in the mid 1800s....

There's a couple of pics in the previous posts and in this series that show old timbers and rings and chains that I'm certain were used to moor old sailing ships in Mendocino Bay. 

Imagine the bay filled with masted schooners, cargo ships and Man-of-Wars from that era.
