Here's a few things it takes to make it happen...

Food - Oatmeal, Ramen Noodles and Jack Link's Teriyaki Beef Nuggets.

Water Container - I carry 2 - 24 oz Polar bottles

Coffee - Taster's Choice Instant packets and a baggy of Raw Brown Sugar and Cream mate.

Tools of the Trade - Leatherman Multitool, headlight, leather gloves, long handled lighter and Bic lighter

Eating utensils - a Sea and Summit plate, bowl and cup and a Spork.

Fire starter Sticks - my secret weapon for starting fires. I use the Coleman brand.

Seasonings and Oil - Salt and Pepper and Olive Oil

And most importantly - a way to boil water - a 1 qt pot with folding handle, an MSR Pocket Rocket burner and a canister of Coleman fuel.

Probably not the most elegant or efficient set up in the world....

But it works for me.

  1. You are your mother's son. Taking everything but the kitchen sink with you. Got to love it. Diana
