2nd largest Trek dealer in Texas; talked to Russ the Manager and Tim Cook the bike tech – good people.
Got my brake and shifter cable replaced and bought a spare tire, chain wrench, spoke tool, 4 spare spokes and 3 more CO2 cartridges. You know keeping a bike tuned up is way more expensive than maintaining a car – bicycle maintenance / repairs on this trip so far = $225….. but I gotta say the ole Trek 3700 took me through it all.
