@ the Comfort Suites in Burleson - what a freakin' fiasco getting 2 the motel
One of the perils of a bicycle trip – coming in late after dark to a place you’ve never been with poor directions – ended up on wrong side of I35; choice was to ride 5 mil round trip to a highway crossover or cross 4 lanes of southbound freeway traffic, lift my bike with 30# loaded on it over a 4’ high median barrier and then cross 4 lanes of northbound freeway traffic at night…… so what did I do – after 50 miles of fighting high wind and assholes in cars, I crossed the freeway in the dark – but I did it very carefully! Ha Ha! Alls well that ends well – ended up at a nice hotel – Comfort Suites in Burleson Tx and walked over to Miranda’s Mexican Cantina next door and ate Chicken Enchilada Verde and had a margarita – good chips and salsa, good food, good margarita and excellent service – I’d eat there again!
