Mt Baldy Part 3

The trail started on an asphalt road with the sun just peaking over the mountains....

We took a hairpin turn in the trail at the Angel Falls Overlook.

Headed up the fire road....

And took the first trail to the left that departed the fire lane....

This is the steep trail leading to Mt Baldy.

The trail took us through beautiful Ponderosa Pines.

With views of the climb in the front of us....

And the semi arid valley we were departing behind us...

A blue sky day and a great day to be on the trail.

And to think..... all of this is just an hour out of LA.

As you can see.... this trail is steep!
