Location: 5 mi south of Hico Tx on 281N

Unfortunately, I saw far too many scenes like this – once thriving businesses that are now out of business; everywhere I stopped and talked to people along 281N which is like a template for rural America, I heard the same thing – business is bad and it’s not getting any better. I guess this part of the country isn’t getting any help from the $700 billion of our money the government gave to the banks or the billions in infrastructure spending – it’s a Zero sum game – a lot of people got rich off this last little crisis ripoff – but it wasn’t the people I talked to.
