Also met a wonderful couple named Bill and Peggy who invited me and my wife up to ride horses at their ranch in Chandler OK. They wanted their horses, Sticky and Penny, to get used to bicycles so I rode around them for awhile. It was a chance meeting and one I will remember for a long time.
