Paleo.... Paleo.... Paleo

Subject seems to be coming up a lot lately because people keep asking me what I am doing to drop the weight yet still have the energy and muscle to get through the Crazy CrossFit WMD WODs and the cardio intensive Family Fitness Boot Camp classes.

The short answer is a strict Paleo diet.

Short summary - lean meat, eggs, veggies, fruit and nuts...

That's it - No bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, beans, peanuts or peanut butter (cause peanuts are not a nut - they are a legume), dairy, processed foods, desserts.... Blah blah blah...

It's basically what you've been hearing for years - don't eat the shit that makes your insulin spike.

It messes up your metabolism and makes you feel sluggish because your blood sugar drops when the insulin overshoots to compensate for the sugar laden food.

So Whadduya eat when you go out....

Simple - meat and veggies!

Here's my Thursday night special at El Toro....

Chicken tortilla soup special ordered -

No cheese, No Rice, Double Veggies with diced avocado and a pile of fresh jalapeños washed down with a cold Coors Lite!


That's a lot of food - it's well seasoned and full of chicken and veggies.

So Mark the Rabbit - that's how I do Paleo.
