Cave Man must've killed a Brontosaurus!!!
Cause that looks like a Fred Flintstone steak!!
2nd of the 2 - $3.97/lb Ribeyes I got at Kroger earlier this week.
Let's back up and plan this Paleo meal...
16 oz Ribeye that's been preseasoned and tenderized for 2 days
Organic Kale and Cilantro and Spring Mix salad
Tomato
Diced poblano pepper, asparagus and zucchini.
Okay. Caveman - take us through it.
Big, thick steak so 5 - 6 minutes on each side in a hot cast iron skillet for medium.
Add in the veggies just as soon as some of that wonderful fat cooks out of the ribeye!!
Cook in ribeye fat?
You betcha - it's the sugar that kills you NOT animal fat.
Paleos love Animal Fat!!!
And man - does it make those veggies tastes good!!!
Holy Beautiful Meat Batman - look at that steak!!
That's like heaven in a garden!
Now let's turn to our high volume low calorie foundation for this meal....
All the previously mentioned ingredients plus strawberries and a beautifully luscious mango!!
After 5-1/2 - 6 minutes on each side, cover the skillet and let the steak and veggies steam for a couple of minutes then remove the steak and let it rest for 5 minutes and spoon the skillet veggies around the salad.
Now let's half that steak and take a look....
Perfect! Medium and juicy.
A beautifully Simple Meal....
For a Simple Caveman!!!
Waiter.... turn up the Skynyrd please!!
