Miles 11 and 12 were probably some of the most beautiful and exciting parts of the trail...
Lots of ripping downhills on a track a foot wide with lots of rocks and hairpin turns.
Found myself locking up the rear disc brake on the Jamis and broad sliding through the hairpins and accelerating on the next downhill to the next hairpin....
And Repeat Over and Over...
All part of the Granby Ranch.....
Would have like to have gone to the top and the Gazebo...
But needed to stay on track.... Literally!
Rugged Country....
If this is a Beginner's Trail.... I'd hate to see a Double Black Diamond!!!
Great Theme Song for What I Was Doing Right Now....
Sometimes you just have to put yourself out there on the Edge....
Out of Your Comfort Zone...
Put Yourself in Danger....
Of Injury or Worse...
Facing Death is the Only Way to Appreciate....
LIFE!!!
You can see how steep the trail is in these pics....
Free Range Cattle? Cool!!!
And there they be.... Fancy Gate!
Frick....
And Frack!
Storm on the horizon!
Forget Horizon is here....
Fore!!! Through the Rain...
As I said before.... I come prepared.... And this was no different...
Rain? No Problem....
Put on Pearl Ozumi Lightweight Cycling Rain Jacket.
