091414 Epic Ride Part 5

Nice House out here among the Sagebrush.

These Cattle Catcher transitions are there for just that reason....

Allow Cycling Passage and keep the Cows where they're supposed to be.

As I was listening to this song and it's lyrics, I was reminded of a Friend who had let his ego and God does what else take over his life and ruin his marriage.
"Full Circle"

Got your freedom now boy
Who do you serve
Took for granted what you, should have preserved
No time left, no time left, to make amends
Keep burning bridges while you're buying your new friends
A day of reflection hits, you're a shell, skin and bones, counting costs
Is it worth your soul
A day of reflection hits

It's funny how times can change, rearrange and distance makes
The pain fade away
So important then, doesn't matter now
Both feet on the ground
Come full circle, yeah, come full circle

No access granted now boy, you've been denied
Jump a fence to see what's on the other side
Are you wanted, are you wanted
The question is, could second chances mean another impression
A day of reflection hits, your you're a shell, skin and bones, counting costs
Is it worth your soul
A day of reflection hits

It's funny how times can change, rearrange, and distance makes

The pain fade away
So important then, doesn't matter now
Both feet on the ground
Come full circle, we've come full circle

I got one foot stuck in heaven, yeah
One boot stuck in hell
I looked at God, he winked at me
I made this mess myself
Don't be surprised and don't deny
Hear every word I say
Close the door and don't look back or you will fade away

It's funny how times can change, rearrange and distance makes
The pain fade away

It's funny how times can change, rearrange and distance makes
The pain fade away
So important then, doesn't matter now
Both feet on the ground
Come full circle, full circle, come full circle
We have come, full circle

Gorgeous Countryside.

Reduced to a foot wide trail past Tavernash...

The Warm Store.... probably need a place like that in a couple of months...

Nice old Chevy Fleetside.... My dad had a long bed 59 version of this truck.

Following the Blue Trail Signs to God Knows Where.

Keeping in touch with the Big Guy.

Looking back on a very steep climb that had me in the 2nd to Lowest Gear on my Jamis 24 speed.

Back to following the Highway....

And crossing under it via tunnel.

And off the road and into the Wilderness.

This is about the point where I realized this was gonna be a Long Day!

Holy Trail to the Great Beyond Batman!

What did we get ourselves into?

This is one of the Beauties of Not Planning Too Well....

You get surprised with Challenges!!

Yep... Definitely in the Back Country - glad I stopped at Epic Mountain Sports on the way out this morning and picked up an extra 27-1/2" tube....

Cause out here....

You're on your own!

Getting into the Aspens and the Beautiful Fall Colors...

You know you're getting up there when you're riding through Aspens.
