Lunch in 8:49
Was talking to a few folks this evening about the blog, Paleo cooking and eating and my workout routine.
One of the most important elements of success at anything is Time Management.
Whatever you do you have to become proficient and efficient.
Cooking Healthy Paleo Food is no different.
So let's lay this lunch out and make it fast and easy...
2 Proteins - Thin cut Ribeye and Ground Turkey Breast mix
Veggies - Red Kale, Carrots, Mini Sweet Peppers
Fruit - grapes and strawberries
Prep the veggies and fruit...
Ribeye and Turkey Pattie in the skillet.
2 mins on each side...
Plate the Protein with some leftover veggies.
Do the "hard veggies" - carrots and peppers and the stalks of the kale...
Get a little water in the lid for steaming the veggies...
Add the kale leaves and the water...
And Cover for 2 mins
Plate the veggies and clean the cast iron skillet while it's still hot....
No soap just water and wipe it out....
A 10 second clean up.
And start to finish...
8 mins 49 seconds.
Add some red balsamic vinegar to the veggies...
Almost no calories but Big Flavor!!!
My entire set of cookware...
Cutting board
Cast iron skillet
Cast iton Dutch Oven
Metal spatula
French cook knife
Knife sharpener
Electric cool top
That's it...
About as simple as it gets.
Oh... And the final results...
What really amazes people is how much food I eat...
The fact is that it's mostly veggies cooked with no oil and about 10 - 12 oz of lean protein.
Probably around 800 - 1000 calories in the whole meal including the drink...
So that's the way it's done.
Simple - Nutritious - Fast - Easy...
Paleo.
