Told you I'd been doing some thinking.... and I've also told you in the past how dangerous that can be.

You see, there are forces out there.... and forces that move people out there....

That are far more powerful and wiser than we are as individuals.

And if you take time to listen.... and reflect.... and be honest with yourself and unselfish toward others and be moved by these forces, the path to personal discovery and freedom and the answer to many of the personal issues and problems in your life will be made obvious to you.

What you choose to do with those offerings is up to you.

So.... what does all this pontification mean and how does it apply to anything?

Well.... first of all.... this post is NOT about me.... it's about someone I know.

Okay, I don't know them personally..... I know of them.... But this person is like so many people out there.

So sit back and listen to my story about a guy I'm gonna call Tom....

That's not his real name.... But to everybody that matters and needs to hear this.... it's Tom - the Firefighter.

You see, Tom is just one of those middle-aged guys who's run his life through a Field of Broken Dreams.

He's been blind-sided, clipped, fouled, injured, run out of bounds and.....

He's taken Himself out of the Game....

Ain't nothing wrong with the Guy except Life has stomped on him a few dozen times and he's buried himself in his work and in the past.

Did you hear what I said.... Life didn't bury him.... He dug a hole and threw his heart and his passion for life and awareness of the good things in Life.... the things that really matter.... in a Hole and buried them so deep that no one can find them....

There's someone out there.... this special woman.... who stands by patiently watching Tom waste his Tim-e and Life and Love on dealing with the Past.

Hey Tom - Wake Up and Smell the Coffee!

Instead of being a Firefighter and trying to put out the Fire, LET IT BURN!

Let the Pain of the Past be consumed in a Final Blaze of Regret and Fear and Anger....

START OVER from the Ashes that Remain.

Be a Friend - You already got that going on.

Be a Companion - That takes more time.... Make Time.

Be a Partner - That means you gotta get involved in Her Life.

Be a Lover - Yep.... that comes next and is the culmination of all things preceding.
