Building a Life....

One Meal at a Time...

First Rule of Thumb in Cooking....

Don't Cut Your Thumb!

Best Way NOT to do that?

Start with a sharp knife!

Counterintuitive?

Geez - Shut up and go back to bed!

Going heavy on the peppers.

Why?

I like peppers... All different kinds.

And I'm convinced the capsaicin in them is a natural metabolism booster.

Prep is the hard part....

Do it in the order you will cook it - hard veggies - onions and peppers first.

The cooking is easy.

Just do it in batches.

While you're prepping the veggies, get your cast iron skillet very hot and add just enough canola oil to coat the bottom.

O&Ps in...

Stir fry for 5, then add the cubed pork and venison sausage.

5 more then add the Zucchini, Squash and thinly sliced jalapeños.

Everything is coated with EVOO, salt, pepper and Thai Seasoning before it goes in the skillet.

Continuously stir fry for another 5 while listening to great music.

Add a diced boiled egg for extra protein and a tomato for acid, color and texture.

One last drizzle of EVOO and a light sprinkle of S&P and you're done.
