These days just never go as planned....

I ended up cooking pancakes for half the Hostel....

So like... What's new?

Then I had a slow leak on my rear tire...

Probably the valve because I saw no hole.

Then I had to work on the brakes.

So I got a late start...

My body is starting to look like my spirit feels....

Depleted.

So I finally got going and was tooling down Harbor and saw the USS Iowa which I passed yesterday while flying to the Catalina Ferry....

So I made a quick decision to blow off the 80+ miles and go tour a battleship....

Something I been wanting to do since I was 6 years old....

And I may never pass thi way again....

Carpe Diem.

  1. Spending time in moma's kitchen when you were younger really paid off. She taught us all to oook. God bless her sweet soul. Glad the people at the hostel appreciated your skill at cooking. I do remember when you were a little boy your fascination with battle ships and anything that pertained to wars. You were a very different little boy, so, so very smart and interested in anything and read everything you could get your hands on. You haven't changed too very much from those long ago days. Don't change, I love you as you are. I hope you enjoyed touring the Iowa.
