I just met a young man named Allen (maybe Alan) riding along the Coastal Route.
He, like the fellow earlier, asked me about my Tour.
When I finished my brief summary, Allen said....
"I always wanted to do something liked that".
To which I quickly responded -
"Do it Now... Don't wait till you're 50.
Buy a rear rack and some panniers and put 'em on your bike and pack up and take off.
You won't regret it."
Jerome, the older gentleman from earlier today said talking to me changed his life.
I doubt that but I may have given him that one little bit of real life inspiration to take on something he has always wanted to do.
I think he just had an A-Ha moment!!!!
You see....
It's not the challenge or the dream that is the obstacle....
That holds us back.
It's us....
It's me....
I'm the one holding me back....
From taking that Grand Tour...
From taking that hike up the mountain...
From asking for that raise when you know you deserve it...
From being the Best Parent or Best Spouse you can be.
So the next time you're faced with a seemingly insurmountable challenge or a dream you dared to dream....
Ask yourself this.
Am I ready to.....
Take on ME!
