began as a cycling blog - "Discovering America on 2 Wheels" - in Dec 2009. Since then it's become much more. It is an irreverent, humorous and introspective way of sharing my daily lifestyle, interests, opinions and life challenges. It is a Labor of Love that is Raw, Uncut and Real Time straight from my Heart, Mind and Life to You. So I hope you Read, Enjoy and Become Involved in My Discovery and, in so doing, learn more about Yourself, the World Around You and Your Own Path to Discovery!

Car 54... Where are you?
I been waiting 5 hours to use that line and my sister Vicki beat me to it... Long Story Short, I found about a 25 mile hole in Verizon's "blanket" coverage. I am 30 miles from Gunnison on US 50W between Sargent and Doylesville. The climb to Monarch Pass was the hardest yet ... it was actually a 3900' gain in 18 miles not 22 miles...It's record heat here... you had to figure that... I'm here... I've gone through a gallon and a half of water, a quart of Creatine mix and 2 quarts of Gatorade and only peed once... I'll fill in the 5 hr gap of pics and posts tonight when I get to Gunnison.... this is truly becoming a test of endurance!
