Food, Overeating, Seasoning, Satisfying your Palette.... they're all related...

Let me give you my 2 cents worth on a subject that's near and dear to my heart... and I'm gonna qualify this up front by saying I'm just expressing my own opinion... not trying to offend anyone or anything like that....

The reason why so many people in America eat so much, are overweight and unhealthy is because they eat poor quality food that is loaded with preservatives and God knows what and is cooked to death with no seasoning and no herbs or spices and none of the "base elements of cooking" like bell peppers, onions, garlic, carrots, celery, etc.

Let me tell you something.... you get a cast iron skillet up to medium heat, pour in a teaspoon of canola or any "high heat" cooking oil (and yeah I said a teaspoon.... that's all you need in a well-seasoned cast iron skillet) and throw in some diced or sliced good quality meat of your choice that's been seasoned how you like it.... I don't care if it's beef, pork, chicken or even tofu.... whatever .... some kind of protein and then throw in some "base element" veggies that have been coated with olive oil and dusted with salt and pepper and roll all that a couple of times with a big spoon....meanwhile over in another pot or skillet be cooking you up some brown rice or potatoes or pasta or putting a brown on some tortillas....and don't forget to season the water you're cooking stuff in with a little salt....

Geez.... the freakin' doctors and health care industry make such a big deal of eating a little salt on everything.... salt is what makes the world go round for goodness sakes.... hell before gold they used salt for currency.... yeah that's right.... go look that up in Wikipedia... it's true.

Anyway.... down off my soap box....

When component 2 (the rice, potatoes, pastas, toritillas) whatever.... you know what I'm talking about.... the base...is done....

... put it on a plate and then do a taste test of the component 1 combo.... if it needs a little more seasoning.... do it now.... don't serve yourself and your guests food that you haven't tasted.... that's just plain stupid...... when you get it seasoned to taste, just pour the component 1 combo over component 2.....

There's only about 7 million combinations of that little technique right there.... I mean you could spend a lifetime eating that style of cooking and never get bored.....

.... and you know what.... here's the kicker....

You eat High Quality, Well-Seasoned, Prepared at Home by your Own Hand Cooking where you control and know what goes into it......

and you'll eat less and you'll be healthier and you'll feel better.....

cause your palette will be satisfied.... you won't just keep eating and eating to try to get satisfied....

Try that on for size for a couple of months and I bet you'll be trying on some other sizes....

like 2 sizes smaller in your pants..... skirt.....
