Location: Cowhouse Creek 7 mi south of Hamilton Tx on 281N

Comments:

I passed literally dozens of these beautiful Clearwater creeks on 281N and finally stopped to take a picture of one. It made me think about what it was like in the 1800s when Texas was going through so much transition (you know – the whole 6 flags over Texas thing) and of the cattle drive days. Nearly all modern day highways follow the track of what were old wagon trails or cattle drive trails….. made me wonder how many cattle had been driven along this route and watered in Cowhouse Creek.
