Windy day - Narrow shoulder - 18 wheelers - Tough Day!

Location: 9901 Hwy 67N – halfway between Glenrose and Cleburne

Comments:

High winds – headwinds / crosswinds – lots of traffic on 67N – close call w/ 18 wheeler. This was probably the hardest day technically to ride – the shoulder was narrow and bumpy – there was about a 15 – 20 mph cross / headwind – when the 18 wheelers would go by it would blow me out 4’ and then suck me back the other way 4’ as they passed – plus 1 18 wheeler decided it was a good idea to get right up even with me and then blow his freakin’ horn – after I ran off the road in the grass – I found the closest area hidden by trees and brush and changed my shorts – my heart I’ll have to go back for cause it leaped out of my throat and was headed for Nacogdoches the last time I saw it. God Bless the weak-minded evil person who did that…..
