Day 26 of my Pacific Coast Bicycle Tour... Ready for War... With the Mother of A

Day 26 of my Pacific Coast Bicycle Tour begins in Standish-Hickey State Park just north of Leggett CA.

Gotta get my clothes that I washed in the shower last night into the sunshine so they'll dry...

Then get something to eat...

I may walk over to the Peg House and see if they have anything on the grill.

Then it's time to go to War...

With a Monster 2500' 10% grade climb out of Leggett where we take a right on PCH1 and head for the coast....

To Russian Gulch State Park...

It's another of the California SPs hit by the fiscal crisis but I suspect Hiker Biker will be open just like at Standish-Hickey.

If not, I'll have to go down to Van Damme State Park south of Mendocino.

We'll see how it goes.

I'm about as ready as I'll ever be for this big climb.

I'm at my lightest weight in several years....

I ate a Monster protein and carb meal last night and got a good 8 hours of sleep.

I'm light on food having eaten everything I bought at the Wildberries Market in Arcada.

And I'm 50 + 1 day....

And I downloaded a new Soundgarden album yesterday so...

Let's get this Discovery Party started!

  1. You are definitely looking great. Very trim you are getting. I know you will make the climb with flying colors. Love your clothes line. Nature will provide your needs. (if only it could provide you some food).
